So, here's what's up...
FRI AUG 23 2024
Just went ahead and gave the ol’ “Contact/Booking” page a li’l upgrade. Other than that? Got another MIDWEST MINI-TOUR COMIN’ UP! Woo and, if time permits, hoo! I had such a rad time on my last jaunt out that way, I just couldn’t stay away. This time, I’m hauling my hilarious pal, Zack Troxel along for the ride. Come see us won’t you?
Let’s see, what else? I dunno. Merch page? I think I’m just gonna do something REAL simple with it.
THURS APR 18 2024
Run of shows out in the mighty Midwest was awesome. I love Illinois, man. Had the great pleasure of traveling all over that area gigging with my great pal, Mike Stricker, meeting a ton of new comedy pals and hanging out with the great Preston Lacy.
Booking into the Summer/Fall, so hit that if you want me to sling some jokes at ya.
Got a couple local slots coming up in Bozeman. Head over to shows.
Beyond that, well, I’m sitting on it for now, but I’m really stoked on some—for me anyway—fairly big news, later this year. Stick around.
TUES FEB 27 2024
Got a whole spate n’ slew of shows comin’ up ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE! A veritable schmorgasbord of appearances one might say. From a humble benefit show with some bands in my own backyard for my pal’s cat’s surgery, to a show with Preston Lacy of Jackass fame way out in Illinois, it’s getting fun, pals. Head on over to shows for more details.
TUES JAN 16 2024
Howdy, pards. VERY stoked to announce that I’m gonna be flippin’ some shows out in The Mighty Midwest this coming Spring! Mid-March, the homie Mike Stricker and I are gonna tear up Illinois and Michigan. Head on over to SHOWS and give it a peeksie!
THURS FEB 16 2023
I’m goin’ back to Townsend…Townsend…Townsend…Townsend. I’m goin’ back to Townsend (I don’t think so). Except that I actually literally am going back to Townsend (Montana) to do another of those wonderful little shows they put on at Canyon Ferry Brewery. These are some of my favorite shows to do in The Treasure State—no, anywhere.
Plus, if you’re saying “But, Kyle, you suck at comedy!” Then, hey, you’re the one talking, out loud, to your computer, in an otherwise empty room. So there’s that. But, also, point the second: Eli Singleton, Garrison Choitz, Kaiser Leib and Luke Cole will be on the bill also, so there’s something for eeeveryone!
Working on some shows in Idaho as well, hopefully shooting for April or May. Stay tuned.
TUES JAN 10 2023
What’s new, what’s new? I had the pleasure of featuring for the mighty Amy Miller for a run of four shows in mid-December, around Montana. Thanks to Amy and to Alex at Bone Dry Comedy for that one. A great series of shows and a fantastic time. Comin’ up, I’m doing a handful of Montana shows. Check out the “Shows” page, per usual.
WEDS JUN 29 2022
I’m still putzin’ around, don’t you fret none. Looking like the second half of Summer is when stuff is gonna shape up for some more shows. I’m stoked to be on Julia Louis-Dreyfest again this year in Billings. PLUS! I’m doing my chuckle stories to open for an acoustic set of none other than punk heavyweights, Off With Their Heads! Check out the SHOWS page for info, ya dingle.
THURS APR 28 2022
Tour with Alex Kaufman was raaaadical. Good shows, and had a ton of fun. Always nice to break new ground (Colorado Springs) and to get my happy ass to Laramie, WY! Love that spot. Perhaps unexpectedly (?) the high spot of the tour—for me at least—was none other than my hometown of Sheridan, WY! Absolutely kickass show!
I’ve been busy with some other stuff too, featured for Deece Casillas (Spokane, WA) at LBC here in Bozeman and a bunch of stuff.
I’m co-headlining Last Best Comedy on May 21st! I don’t know who else is on the bill yet! Stay frosty, ya dorks.
THURS MAR 10 2022
Okay so maybe calling it a “tour” is a bit generous. But I’m stoked! I am doing a run of road shows through parts of Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, end of March, beginning of April, with Alex Kaufman ((check him out; he runs Bone Dry Comedy in Bozeman, along with Rena Thiel who you should also check out.)
FRI FEB 18 2022
Oh hey whaddup! Opening for the fantastic and fantastical Kyle Kinane again. Also got a little tour brewing, end of March, early April with the homeboy Eric Lyons. Pop on over to shows.
FRI FEB 4 2022
Hey, fellers. Been a minute! What’s been goin’ AWWWN? Well, shoot, a lot of stand-up to close out 2021 and hopefully more of it to open up 2022! You can catch me in Helena MT, Bozeman MT and Laramie WY at the tail end of March/early April. I’m trying to get a li’l tour to materialize around then so hopefully there’ll be more on that soon! Stay breezy.
FRI JUL 9 2021
Well, HOW ABOUT THAT? I’m opening for the legendary Kyle Kinane on Wednesday, July 14th at J & Co. here in Bozeman…
TUE MAY 18 2021
Hey, ya’ll! Big news! I’m really pleased and stoked as fuck to announce that, this October, I’ll be performing at the annual Altercation Comedy Fest in Austin, Texas! FINALLY! Some decent BBQ! I’ll add an entry to the SHOWS page when I know more. Let’s seeee…what else. Well, my ass (and, really, all of me) is fully vaccinated! Pfizer Pfam, baby. Been workshopping some new shit at mics around Bozeman. So if you’re in SW Montana in the middle of the week some time, well…You know what to do. Come say hey. Doing Missoula at the end of the month, and waiting to hear back on two more Missoula dates and there’s always the possibility of Dreyfest. We’ll see on all that!
Anyway…you’re here. Poke around won’t you?
ANY anyway…I’ll get that merch page up and running someday. Or I won’t. I dunno! I don’t OWE you! We’ll just have to see how I feel.
FRI FEB 19 2021
Okay. So. It’s been over a year since I updated anything here. Cool. Global pandemic? Oh. Right on. Life interrupted, worldwide, live performances of all shades put—largely—on hold, the globe over? Oh, word. Cool cool.
Hey, folks? I’m not gonna fib ya here: the COVID-19 global disease virus pandemic? I think it stinks, to be honest.
The last show I did before the pandemic really popped off was at the Labor Temple, in Bozeman, MT, in February of 2020. Just pert near a year to the day before this, I think. The deal is, I didn’t think it necessary, once everything went sideways, to type out a post that—hey! Not doing this shit for a WHILE!
Things are still hella weird. Probably gonna stay that way for quite a while, or forever. That said, back in October, I got a case of COVID myself. Mine was pretty mild; I felt like I had a moderate grade cold for, like 4 days, lost my sense of smell entirely, and then felt better. I still only have about…4% of my smell? And my sense of taste is a little weird. I’m expecting those to be permanent changes, frankly. I’m just glad to be standing, frankly.
The upside of that, of course? Antibodies, bay-beeee. While I’m still social distancing, and still religiously wearing masks in public spaces, I’m using my beefed up immune response to…live slightly less like a nutcase that previously? This includes doing stand-up, at shows/venues where the proper precautions are in place (social distancing, masks enforced, sufficiently large space, not that I’m a house-crowding headliner by any means). Though I failed to put it on the “shows” tab, I broke the seal in late January, in Missoula, at Stave & Hoop alongside some other jokewrights. Got another coming up in Big Sky, MT next week. If you’re in the area, mask up, stay smart and coming share some chuckles. Or not! Whatever you feel comfortable with.
Fuck SARS-CoV-2.
WEDS JAN 22 2020
Really excited for the comedy show at Bozeman’s Labor Temple coming up at the end of the month. I get to share the stage with some of my very favorite Bozeman comedians, and friends. Head on over to Shows! for details!
WEDS JAN 15 2020
I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I updated this part of the site. Let’s see…uuuuh. The West/Midwest tour back in June 2019 was awesome. It’s always a privilege to get way to close, for way too long with other comedians. Especially ones I respect and like as much as Jeffrey Strock, Mark Botterill and Tim Miller. A slew of shows happened between now and last update, including the aforementioned Alleged Truths tour. I also had the great pleasure of opening for Dave Stone at The Roxy Theater in Missoula, in August. Most recently was privileged to be part of a truly kickass comedy show at Bozeman’s own favorite armpit, The Filling Station! Love that place. Anyway, biggish stuff coming down the pipe in 2020, hopefully! More regular news updates? Who knows?
TUES FEB 12 2019
Yooo, about to get really busy! It’s a good thing! Head on over to shows and figure out which night works best for you to come and say hey!
Brewin’ on a li’l West/Midwest tour, round about June’ish.
TUES DEC 25 2018
Happy Holidays, ding dongs! Let’s see, here…what’s new? OH! The not-one-but-two shows, opening for the spectacular Matt Braunger were amazing! Jenna Eliel and Garrison Choitz were unstoppable onstage, per usual. And, of course, Matt Braunger was gutbusting. I was pleased with my sets as well. I also headlined the Roxy show in Missoula last Wednesday. Comin’ up? Plunderground 4 at The Zebra in Bozeman. Get good.
SAT DEC 15 2018
Aaaand we’re back! Oh hey! If you’re in Bozeman, MT, then you should know that TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT. I’m doing comedy at the lovely Rialto Theater to open for the spectacular MATT BRAUNGER, along with local stalwarts Garrison Choitz, Keith Martinez and Jenna Eliel!
Early show starts at 6:30
Late show starts at, like, 8:45 I think.
SUN SEPT 30 2018
Added another show in Missoula, on October 17th, for the IWW Benefit, with some bands. Pop on over to Shows! for more details.
WEDS SEPT 26 2018
OH MAN. OH MAN. OH. MAN. BIG, HUGE, PULSING NEWS!
But first the miscellanea. After Dreyfest, I did a show up in Missoula at the VFW, Highline Comedy. It went really, really awesome! Buuut, I also broke up with someone that weekend. Soooo…potayto-potawto? Anyway, this past Monday, I opened for touring acts, Andrea Bartunek, Sara Rooker and Emmanuell Vera who are super funny and talented and real nice folks! It’s been going great out there of late!
Head on over to the “SHOWS” for details, but I also am excited to be doing The Zebra here in Bozeman early next month, and I have a show lined up in Butte in November as well. Hmmm, what else? Oh! I AM OPENING FOR MATT BRAUNGER in BOZEMAN IN DECEMBER! AAGH!
TUES AUG 14 2018
Holy hell! DREYFEST in Billings was RAD, kid! The only bummer I can think of was that I wasn't able to go down for Friday, and I was busy doing stuff the whole day on Saturday, so I didn't get to see ANY bands. BUT! The Dreyfest comedy show was amazing. My Missoula Homegrown brethren, Crystal Koosman and Reese Dowdy were hilarious and amazing, the other comics were all solid, and li'l ol' me? Well, I just had one of the best sets of my life is all! The audience were teriffic and, really, I can't say enough good about the people at Arthouse Cinema and Julia Louis-Dreyfest! I really hope I get to continue this streak of telling jokes at Billings Funnest Two Days of the Year in 2019!
Up next is the Bar IX Comedy Open Mic here in Bozeman TOMORROW. Then, on Monday, August 27th, I'm headlining at a comedy show in Missoula at the VFW! Should be rad. I know I'm amped.
TUES JULY 24 2018
Holy heck! It's been forever since I updated! I'm sure you've nearly starved for information on my whereabouts and what-have-you's. But, calmez-vous; I live.
Like I said, in April, I moved from Missoula down to Bozeman. I won't lie, it's been a weird and, at times, difficult transition. I had not expected that. Almost right away, I found myself dealing with a lot of depression and social anxiety. Moving sure is a pain in the ass, eh?
Anyway, because of that stuff, I hardly did any comedy at all between April and June. But I've done a couple open mics lately that have felt really good, and--ba ba DAAA--I am, once again, doing Julia Louis-Dreyfest in lovely BILLINGS next month! Oh, and I'm doing a house show this Thursday (7/26/2018). Not a lot of specifics other than that for now. But stuff will be coming down the pipe soon enough. I dunno. It just feels good to be back.
See ya in Western Montana, dingbats.
FRI MAR 23 2018
SO! WOW! That "brief sabbatical" got wild n' weird and ended up being closer to 5 months than 2! But I'm back now and I brought gift shop treasures for all of you! Wrote some new stuff that I think has a lot of potential. It needs some work though. Which, honestly, is fine. Knocked some rust off at a house show in Bozeman a couple weeks ago. Last night, I opened at The Roxy up here in Missoula, and did pretty well. It felt great to get back up on a stage and work some of that new stuff. Don't look now, friends, but I think I just might be back.
SO! That said, I am MOVING. From Missoula to Bozeman! So there's that I guess! Oh, I'll be coming BACK to Missoula though for comedy at a ZACC open mic on April 13.
Anyway, I'll post more show info on the shows page when I know anything!
THURS DEC 21 2017
True to promises, October and November were busy as hell for yours truly. Great shows all over Montana, with lots of great comedians. December and, maybe, January, will probably see me slowing down significantly on performances. I wanna take a step back, come up for air and, hopefully, write some quality new material. I'm figuring to hit it strong again, come February. May-June tour is kinda up in the air right now. We shall see! Hang tight, pals.
THURS OCT 5 2017
I've been not particularly busy lately. But that's all about to change. October and November are both shaping up to be busy months with appearances across the land*. Bozeman pals, ya'll can catch me at the #ComedyGate show later this month as well. I dunno, man. Aaaah...I'm headlining The Roxy show in November...probably gonna try and record that shit for a 7". We'll see. Be cool. Have fun. And check out the "shows" section.

THURS SEPT 7 2017
Oh, LAND of a LAKES, it has been a SECOND. Let's see...I did a couple shows in July and then did Richard Dreyfest in Billings in August. That's been about it but keep a wary eye out! - I got some stuff a-brewin' in October and November!
MON JUN 19 2017
2017 Working Titles Comedy Tour Post-Mortum
So! Yes! I (along with Tim Miller and Charley Macorn) went on tour at the end of May/Beginning of June! It was the second year in a row that I've gone on a little regional tour with other Montana comedians and--I gotta say, kittens--I think I've caught the bug. I already can't wait to get out on the road again! There were some highs. There were some lows. Some breakfasts were had and some hearts were broke! Read on...
The route was basically like such...
MISSOULA (cancelled)
LIVINGSTON, MT @ The Office
RAPID CITY, SD @ West Dakota Improv
DENVER, CO (off day, to screw around)
LARAMIE, WY @ Great Untamed Meadery
GILLETTE, WY @ Big Lost Meadery
SHERIDAN, WY @ Carriage House Theater
BOZEMAN, MT @ The Haufbrau
A quick review of the shows...
LIVINGSTON: The crowd at The Office was lukewarm, really. We did okay, all in all, especially guest, Keith Martinez and Charley. But between problems with the sound system (it kept cutting in and out...not conducive) and a fall-down drunk asshole who decided to try and actually take a mic out of comedian hands, it was one of the worse shows of the tour. Teresa at The Office is hella nice, though, and the venue treated us very well. I'd probably give it another shot.
RAPID CITY: West Dakota Improv is, like...an ACTUAL COMEDY CLUB. So Tim and I, perennial bar flies that we are, felt a little out of place at first. But it's a great space, the folks who work there are awesome, and SUPER nice, and the crowd, while small, was really into it. Great show! Can't wait to get back again!
LARAMIE: Best show of the tour, hands down. This is the second year in a row that Scott and the people at Great Untamed have hosted our touring stand-up show, and it's the second year in a row that Laramie, WY has been the best show of the route. Great, into-it crowd, and love the room! Doesn't hurt that their mead RULES. So stoked to get back to Laramie, and Great Untamed ASAP.
GILLETTE: First off. I can't say enough about Sam and the staff at Big Lost Meadery. They're easy to work with, they're enthusiastic about live entertainment and, pay-wise, they make it worth your while! The show itself was...not great. And I'm sad to say that because the audience (who were composed almost entirely of old friends of mine from Gillette) just didn't seem very into the show. The three of us, each one, probably had our worst performance of the tour at this show. Show-wise, it was a forgettable night, but I'll be back to Gillette in the future to give it another shot!
SHERIDAN: Aah, my beloved hometown! I've been performing on the stage of the Carriage House Theater, on and off, since I first started doing improv way back in 2003. And it's STILL one of my favorite places. It was a really good show! All three of us did great. I was particularly pleased with my set. It was, as always, great seeing friends and family (my mom and dad got to hear my bit about jerking off with sun screen! So...Mazel tov, me!). Had a good show, great being back home.
BOZEMAN: Laramie was the best show of the tour, but man, Bozeman ain't far behind! The crowd at The Haufbrau were loud (in the BEST way) and really, really into everything that was going on (both comedy and music). All the comedians, including local guests Garrison Choitz and Jeffrey Strock, had homerun sets. And, hey, any time I get to watch Zenitram and Goners UK on the same bill, the night's a win.
So that was the tour. Being locked in a van with Tim and Charley for 10 days was remarkably painless on the whole, though I'll never allow Tim Miller behind the wheel of an automobile again if I have any power to prevent it. If this is what it's like to drive across miles and miles of miles and miles to tell jokes and sleep on couches and floors, then sign me up on a long-term basis. Can't wait to tour again.
FRI JUN 16 2017
SO! It's been a SECOND...some STUFF has happened!
In May, I had a couple road shows here, around Montana. I did Bozeman at the Haufbrau on May 5th. That was...a helluva show! Very talky crowd, very drunk crowd, very wanting to come up to my during my set type of crowd. Those Hauf shows are always chaotic and that's DEFINITELY part of the charm of performing there. BUT...guys? If ever a comedian is doing their set and you think to yourself, "Hey. I should really go co-occupy that person's space right now and--hell!--maybe even try taking the mic from them to talk!" then please do not act on that thought. It's a bad thought. The BZN show wasn't BAD though, just chaotic. THEN, the next night, May 6th, I did one of the rounds of the Montana Comedy Competition in Billings. That was a bad show. Don't be a fuckstick, heckling idiot just because you think you're a big, drunk deal in Billings, Montana.
I'll do a separate entry tomorrow to rehash the Working Titles Comedy Tour that took place between Friday, May 26th and Saturday, June 3rd!
MON APR 10 2017
The Trox-Aide House Show was so lit, you guys. So much fun. It reminded that the smallest shows are often the most fun! Onto the next stuff, I suppose! Bozeman, May 5 and Billings, May 6.
FRI APR 7 2017
Lots of updates to the "shows" page! Cheggitout! I have a couple Missoula shows in the offing, Billings, Bozeman and then, in May, I'm going on tour again! Stokage. Come out and say hey!
Still working on that "Merch" page. I'll figure out how to set that stupid "store" thing up someday soon, I swear. Bear with me.
